Thursday February 26th, 2015

Dr. Steve Krivda called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

I. Committee Reports

A. Advocacy Committee

1. Efforts to ban tanning beds in the District of Columbia was discussed.
2. ICD-10 updates reviewed and resources discussed as a prelude to the guest speaker

B. Social Committee

1. Reminder announcement that the 2nd DC Derm Picnic will be June 6 in Virginia at Nottoway Park in Vienna from 12-4.

II. Old Business

A. There were no new member applications voted on at this resident appreciation event.

III. New Business

1. Applications presented for Cynthia Carver DeKlotz, M.D., Anna Iasmine Kirkorian, M.D. and Kalyani Marathe, M.D. and will be voted on at the next meeting


2. Reminder that the next Atlantic Dermatology Conference is in Philadelphia, April 24-26, 2015. http://atlanticdermconference.org/

IV. Guest speaker: James Scroggs, MHA

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Howard Univeristy, in Washington, D.C.
