MEETING MINUTES

Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2008

Call To Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:55 PM by Dr. Vincenzo Giannelli.

Old Business: Minutes of meeting at Howard University were presented and approved.

New Business:

SCHOLARSHIP: Dr. Sandra Read encouraged members to send in applications for the scholarship.  Applications are available on the web site www.dcdermsociety.com.

SKIN CANCER SCREENINGS: DC Derm will not be hosting a screening this year based on issues which arose concerning the privacy act.  Georgetown residents announced that they were holding a screening in the morning on 6/12/08.  Information was available at dermatologyscreening@gmail.com. 

CME: Washington Hospital Center has applied to be the sponsor for the CME credit.  The next step will be to apply for retroactive credit for prior meetings in 2008. 

UPCOMING MEETINGS: The next meeting will be at Howard University in September 2008.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM.
