Please be aware of the following events taking place soon:
You are invited to attend the Washington Hospital Center Dermatology Grand
Rounds. Diagnostic and Treatment Dilemmas are welcome. These community grand
rounds are scheduled for the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday of each month. They provide
an opportunity for private dermatologists to present difficult cases and to
be involved in teaching dermatology residents from George Washington University
and the Washington Hospital Center. Attendees are awarded 2 CME credits per
session. For additional information or to schedule a patient for presentation,
please call Mary Ellen Hanssen in the Department of Dermatology at 202-877-6654.
The Atlantic Dermatological Committee will meet prior to the D.C. Dermatology
Mtg. at Washington Hospital Center. Please arrive at 6:00pm on Sept 27th for
a discussion that will last until the regular 6:30pm meeting start time.
Scheduling change: November 15th meeting at George Washington Univ. has
been cancelled.
Case Western Reserve University will be hosting the Cicatricial Alopecia
Colloquium on Monday, October 17, 2005. It will take place in the Lister
Hill Auditorium at NIH. Contact Eleanor Fleyshman at 216-844-7872 for registration

NIH is seeking volunteers for a study on Oral Lichen Planus. For more
information, contact Matin Imanguli, DDS at 301-402-7080.
The Washington D.C. Dermatological Society officers encourage all members to
help victims affected by Hurricane Katrina. AAD President, Clay Cockrell,
has issued Presidential Messages on September 1st and 2nd with information on
