Dear D.C. Dermatology Colleagues,

Sir William Osler said of medicine, “The profession in truth is a sort of guild or brotherhood.” I am honored to lead the Washington D.C. Dermatologic Society, our brother and sisterhood, for the upcoming 2015-2016 academic year. 

The Washington D.C. metropolitan area possesses the finest group of dermatologists in the nation and I look forward to working with each and every one of you to harness your extraordinary experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm.  I am excited for the opportunity to work with you to strengthen our collective voice through advocacy and to bring us together more often and in greater numbers to network, socialize and have a little fun!

This year, we will focus together on improving scholarship grants and increasing resident participation in order to give back and move forward.  Over the past few years we have expanded volunteer opportunities and built comradery within the society.  I look forward to working together to create exciting academic and social events that will resonate with the entire community and address the needs of our residents as they look to us as a source of knowledge and inspiration.
